As you grow older, the gradual loss of collagen, genetics, weight loss, and other factors can lead to sagging skin underneath the arms. Also known as “bat wings,” sagging underarms can cause self-consciousness and physical discomfort. We offer an arm lift (brachioplasty) to remove excess sagging skin tissues, tone your arms, and remove excess fat deposits.

Dr. Khan places a lot of thought into curating your arm lift surgical plan. He carefully evaluates your arms, measures the degree of skin laxity, discusses your goals and concerns, and curates a personalized treatment plan. He aims to ensure safe results while meeting your specific aesthetic requirements. Dr. Khan provides a detailed overview of your preparation, surgery, and recovery before the procedure.
Dr. Khan performs arm lifts under general anesthesia to ensure optimal comfort and safety. The pattern of the incision will depend on the degree of skin laxity and your goals. Dr. Khan may use one of the following incisions for an arm lift:
After making an incision, Dr. Khan will remove excess skin tissues and small amounts of excess fat deposits from your upper arms. Depending on the volume of excess fat, the surgeon may also use liposuction to remove fat cells. He may also tighten underlying muscles to make your arms look firm and toned. After completing all the adjustments, Dr. Khan will redrape the skin and close the incisions.
Your arm will look firmer and tighter after the procedure, but you will truly appreciate the results once the healing process is complete. An arm lift produces permanent results but doesn’t stop the aging process or prevent weight changes. You must maintain a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly to maintain the results of your surgery.
Patients undergoing an Arm Lift are required to wear compression stockings to promote circulation and reduce swelling during recovery.
